Trisha Adams' passion is painting the landscape. Provence with its wind mills, lavender and poppy fields, stone houses and perched villages proves to be a source of endless inspiration. Closer by, she likes to paint small boats, tranquil water scenes and trees. Her work has been featured in élan magazine, Northern Virginia Magazine and American Art Collectorl Awards include a residency from the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust and a purchase award from the town of Leesburg. Her contemporary impressionist paintings are in the collections of the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner, VA, The Winchester Medical Center and the Virginia State Senate.

Mary Champion
Oil
Mary Champion has worked in many media but became intrigued with oil painting when she studied classic painting under Jack Dempsey in Huntsville Alabama at the Huntsville Art League. Her work has been featured in many juried shows and exhibitions in the Southeast. Originally from Texas, Mary relocated to Leesburg in the fall of 2008. Contemporary realism and landscape make up most of her current work.

Carol Clay-Ward
Oil / Ceramics / Sculpture
Born and raised in rural Pennsylvania Dutch country, Carol Clay-Ward has been influenced by her German and Tulpehocken Indian heritage. Her interests in anthropology, paleontology, history, animals, wildlife and the environment are all subjects which continue to appear in her artwork. Carol studied art at Kutztown University, Philadelphia College of Art and Hood College. She has also studied painting with Maggie Siner, John Leone, Michael Davis and Kurt Schwarz. A versatile artist, Carol has won awards for her pottery, paintings and sculpture. Many commissioned pieces are displayed in office buildings and in private homes in the US and abroad. She lives in Lovettsville.

Becky Caskey-Fleming
Oil
Becky Caskey-Fleming works in oils and tends toward impressionist/abstract.  Using a palette knife to create broad strokes, beautiful colors and textures, her paintings become horses, barns, landscapes.  She has exhibited at Churchill Downs, been noted in Equine Image magazine and has done artwork for the cover of an equine trade magazine.  Her art is in private and public collections throughout the country.

Linda Hendrickson
Acrylic
Linda Hendrickson has a Fine Arts degree from the University of Arizona and a Masters in Education degree from Idaho State University. Her paintings are whimsical, vibrant and full of color, and her special creativity and freelance designs are enhanced by her travels and studies throughout Europe and North America. Linda has also taught drawing and painting.

Linda Lawler
Oil
Linda is self taught but has studied portraiture with Danni Dawson and Robert Liberace at The Art League School in Alexandria Virginia.  She continues her self study education through the Registered Copyist Program at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.  Linda's repertoire includes portraits, landscapes, still life and animals. “There is never a moment that I am not inspired to create.  Everywhere I look there is another subject for my pencil or brush to record.”

Deborah Morbeto

Deborah Morbeto graduated with a degree in Art History from Massachusetts College of Art in 1992. She enjoys working on both large and small paintings that often use several different media, including oil and acrylic paint, found images, wax, paper, glue, pastel, crayon, chalk and pencil.

Courtney Murphy

Courtney Murphy draws and paints figures, still lifes and landscapes. She has an MFA in Painting from the New York Academy of Art and a BA in Studio Art from the University of California at Davis. She has exhibited her work on both coasts and has also taught drawing and painting.

Ann Noel

Ann Noel has a BA in Fine Arts from George Washington University. She is an Associate Artist at the Torpedo Factory Art Center and has won awards in drawing, mixed media and painting. Her works include portraits, abstract, figurative, still life and landscapes.

Libby Stevens

Libby Stevens is an award-wining pastel painter known for her richly colored landscapes of Loudoun County.  She studied at the Corcoran and Temple University/Tyler School of Art.  Stevens is a signature member of the Maryland Pastel Society and has studied with Master Pastellists Albert Handell, Margot Schulzke and Richard McKinley.  She has taught pastel painting at the Loudoun Academy of the Arts/ArtSquare since 2002 and exhibits regionally. Lisa Strout
Ceramic, Cement and Mosaics
Though known for her fanciful sculptures, Lisa also creates unique and unusual 2D tiles and tile murals using contemporary and abstract design styles.  Her work is influenced by her keen sense of humor and a fascination for patterns and movement.  In addition to ceramic, Lisa works with architectural cement, a lightweight but structurally sound material to create sculptures which she covers in colorful tile, glass, and found objects.  Her work has won awards and is in private collections throughout the US.

Dana B. Thompson

Dana is an honors graduate of Radford University with a BFA in Art. A graphic artist by trade, she satisfies her own creative expression through painting larger-than-life still lifes in oil. Dana also teaches Drawing and Painting at ArtSquare to children and adults.
